Launch the Mac app

A menu-bar icon appears — no Dock icon clutter — and it starts listening on your local network.

Launch the Android app

Enter your Mac's Wi-Fi IP (or connect via USB) and the 6-digit pairing code shown in the Mac app's menu.

Your tablet becomes a display

macOS creates a virtual display matching your tablet's resolution — it shows up in System Settings just like a real monitor.

Drag a window over

Work across two screens. Tap the tablet and it acts as your mouse, positioned exactly where you touch.

Setting up USB

Wi-Fi works out of the box. For a more stable, lower-latency link, connect over USB instead — it needs one extra tool on the Mac side, adb, which most people won't have installed already.

  1. Install Android's platform-tools on your Mac — this is what gives you the adb command. Open Terminal and run brew install android-platform-tools (needs Homebrew). One-time setup — you won't need to touch Terminal again after this.
  2. On your tablet, turn on Developer Options and enable USB debugging, then plug it into your Mac with a USB-C cable.
  3. Launch the ScreenBridge Mac app — it detects the tablet automatically and opens the tunnel for you, including every time you unplug and replug.
  4. In the ScreenBridge Android app, select "USB" (it auto-fills 127.0.0.1) and tap Connect.

Don't want to bother with any of this? Skip it — Wi-Fi mode needs no setup at all, just your Mac's LAN IP.
